I am excited to announce that in 2015 I am committing to reading the Bible.
In our over-busy, instant gratification, too-much-of-everything society, we rarely take the time we should to simply sit quietly.
So, beginning on January 1, 2015, I am going to purposely and consistently take 15-30 minutes each day to read the Bible, and sit quietly to reflect on what I’ve read.
In doing so, I will read the entire Bible in 2015.
I am going to be using the 365-day Chronological Bible, in the New Living Translation (NLT). It’s an interesting approach; instead of reading the books in order from Genesis to Revelation, this version puts the readings in historical order. I’m looking forward to it.
Additionally, I am going to post a verse or two on the blog each day. Some days I may add some thoughts to the scripture, others days perhaps just the scripture.
We’ll see how it goes. I am really excited to commit to this focused, quite time each day.
